August 10th, 2002
I started working on May's Page.  Again using the book 'Layers of Stitch', I experimented with the Nappy Liners I got from from England.  I used Pastel Dye Sticks made by Pentel and painted the Nappy Liners in a rainbow type effect and ironed the sheet to a piece of my own hand dyed fabric.  Neat effect but it needed more.  Using the scrapes I've been collecting from batiks, I cut these into tiny pieces in common colors as the background.  Sprinkled them on and secured them by using variegated threads in like colours.

Quilting the piece was done by couching the Chenille Thread I had purchased at Quilt Canada and the Binding was a new piece of fabric also purchased at QC'02.

August 25, 2002.
Binding finished on May's Page.
