AUGUST JOURNAL PAGE
By
Jodi-Marie Horne
August's Page - Flower Pounding.  Taking out a few frustrations - way to do this - Flower Pounding - the perfect way to deal anger and frustration.

So now that the pounding is done and the frustration is gone - I'm very pleased with the picture I created.  So how will I quilt this?   By machine or hand - Machine - way behind - gotta get this done.  Add beads in the flower centres.  Maybe!  Still no rainy days and now much of my time is spend watering my gardens.  We desperately need rain.

Just a little behind but finally decided to bite the bullet and get this baby finished.  The hold-up?  I still had no clue as to how I wanted to quilt this Page.  I thought about a hidden image of a garden fairy dancing amounst the flowers - nope.  Realistic images of the actual flower on top of the pigment - Not!  Finally settled on simply free motion quilting the outline of each, a little fantasy, a little remembrance of my garden, finally resting safely under a blanket of snow.

The binding finally done, no beading added because this piece - well it's done - finally.
